Consistent with the ABC Trust motto "It’s All About Safety," we are committed to continually improving the effectiveness of the safety and loss control services offered to the Trust membership. The RRM Safety Center is clear evidence of that commitment. Opened in 2007, The Safety Center is a 9,500 square foot construction safety training facility located in East Syracuse, New York.

The Safety Center, located in a renovated warehouse, has been carefully designed to provide a unique combination of classroom and hands on safety training. It contains a 1200 square foot classroom and over 15 separate safety stations for reinforcing the classroom instruction in realistic jobsite settings.

The stations have primarily been constructed to facilitate the subject requirements of the OSHA 10 and 30 Hour Construction Courses, and include training models for lockout-tag out, confined spaces, elevated platforms, scaffolding, roofing, and trenching.

In addition to the safety stations, the Center also has demonstrations of personal protective equipment, a wall showing all the safety signs available to ABC Trust members, and an area specifically set aside for the Trust’s innovative "construction ergonomics" program.

Adding to the construction atmosphere in the facility is a 1000 square foot mural of a construction jobsite drawn by central New York mural artists Corky Goss and Chip Miller.

Through March of 2008, over 450 ABC Trust Members’ employees had already attended over 120 classes. The attendees’s reviews of the center have been overwhelmingly positive.

Please note that the schedule includes general safety classes that will be offered to ABC Trust members at no charge as well as additional specialized courses for which the specific course cost is listed.

The RRM Safety Center is certainly "It’s All About Safety," but it’s also all about giving back to the local community. Any operating profits generated by the Safety Center are pledged to be donated to local charities. We’re pleased to have made a donation to Syracuse Habitat for Humanity in 2007.
